Our Founder's story
Silver Shield Alliance started with a question my fifteen-year-old daughter, Rayna asked me.
Rayna had been learning from professionals connected to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. She came home talking about senior adults, about scams that drained life savings, financial exploitation that took months to surface, harm that wasn’t always visible. and this she asked, “Can we do something about this?”
That question wouldn’t leave me alone. I spent months listening — to social workers, fraud investigators, family caregivers, and older adults themselves. What I kept finding was the same gap: most solutions respond to harm after it happens. Very few are built to prevent it. And almost none are designed with seniors at the center.
Silver Shield Alliance is my answer. We focus on prevention through scam-awareness education, hands-on AI and technology workshops for seniors, and Joy — an AI companion built specifically for older adults. The same technology being weaponized against seniors can be the technology that protects, supports, and connects them.
